Charles A. "Chuck" Sennewald, CMC, CPP is an independent security management consultant and author of four books, Effective Security Management, 3rd Ed. 1998, The Process of Investigation, 2nd Ed. 2001, Security Consulting, 2nd Ed. 1996 and Shoplifting, (co-authored) 1992.

Mr. Sennewald was the Director of Security for the Broadway Department Store and was with that firm for 18 years. Prior to this he was Chief of Security for the Claremont Colleges and a deputy sheriff for the County of Los Angeles.

Mr. Sennewald is the founder and first president of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). He is a graduate of the California State University at Los Angeles and the U.S. Army's Military Police School.

He commenced his consulting practice in 1979 and since then has serviced various national and local retailers in this country as well as Mexico.

He has served, both for the plaintiff and the defense, as a consultant and expert witness in numerous litigation issues involving shoplifting incidents.
