Howard Smith is CSC's chief technology officer (Europe) and co-chair of the Business Process Management Initiative (BPMI.org). With more than 24 years in the IT industry, he is sought after as a speaker and advisor. His work in predicting and shaping technology at its intersection with business led him to play an active role in developing and applying the third wave of business process management. He is currently researching the application of BPM to corporate sustainability, innovation and growth - an area for which he has global research and development responsibility at CSC. Howard is author, with Peter Fingar, of the groundbreaking new book Business Process Management: The Third Wave.
