Jon R. Katzenbach was with McKinsey & Company from 1959 until January 1999. During his 39 years of service, Mr. Katzenbach managed several of their offices, including McKinsey & Company's San Francisco and New York offices for five years each. Mr. Katzenbach served as Chairman of several governance committees and was elected to the Shareholders' Committee in 1972, which he served on for nearly 20 years. Today, Mr. Katzenbach is senior partner of Katzenbach Partners LLC, a consulting firm in New York City that specializes in leadership, team, and workforce performance. He has authored and coauthored numerous articles and books, including with Douglas K. Smith, the best-selling The Wisdom of Teams and the recently released The Discipline of Teams. He is also editor of The Work of Teams, a Harvard Business Review compendium.
