Jeremy Bullmore

Jeremy Bullmore was born in 1929. His first job, in 1954, was as a trainee copywriter with J. Walther Thompson in London and he stayed with that agency until his retirement in 1987. He became successively copywriter, writer/producer, creative group head and head of television; then from 1964 to 1975 head of the creative department and from 1976 to 1987 chairman, London. From 1981 to 1987 he was chairman of the Advertising Association. Since 1988 Jeremy Bullmore has been a non-executive director of the Guardian Media Group plc and WPP Group plc and is the immediate past President of NABS.

As well as numerous radio and television appearances, he has written prolifically and lectured in many countries on marketing and advertising. He is a weekly columnist for Campaign and writes regularly for Management Today and Market Leader. He has received both the London Publicity Club's Cup and the Design and Art Directors' Association President's Award for outstanding contributions to advertising. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and was awarded a CBE in 1985.
