John M. Carroll is Professor Emeritus in the Computer Science Department at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, where he has taught database management systems, systems analysis, and computer simulationm and where he continues to work with his doctoral students. He recently went back to school to earn his LL.B. from Western Ontario Faculty of Law, and is currently working for Peel, Colvin & Nolman, a law firm in London, Ontario, specializing in criminal justice practice. Additionally, Dr. Carroll enjoys teaching in Australia, Sweden and South Africa and lecturing in China.
