Kathleen M. Eisenhardt

Kathleen M. Eisenhardt is a professor of strategy and organization at Stanford University, where her work focuses on management in fast-paced, highly competitive industries. Her awards include the Pacific Telesis Foundation Award for her ideas on fast strategic decision making, the Whittenmore Prize for her writing on organizing global firms in rapidly changing markets, and the Stern Award for her work on strategic alliance formation in entrepreneurial companies. Professor Eisenhardt has consulted for a number of firms, including Hewlett-Packard and Intel. She earned her B.S. in mechanical engineering from Brown University and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
