Marty Alchin

by Roland Buresund last modified 2009-01-12 02:05

Marty Alchin is a full-time Web developer working in Lansing, Michigan. He spend his days working mostly with client-side technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript. When he does do server-side work, it is in Java and JSP. There's a lot more alphabet soup, of course, but he always thought rattling off the whole list was terribly pretentious. Besides, if you know what the abbreviations mean, you probably already know what they all are.

At home, he work with Python and Django. He have learned a lot about these technologies in these recent years, and is always looking for new ways to use them and new things to do with them. Marty is the author of the book, Pro Django, published in 2008 by Apress.

In addition to programming for the Web, he is very interested in data analysis and visualization.
