Philip Fites

Mr. Fites has over 30 years of experience in informatics, from computer operations to project management, business management, and research. He has worked with financial and accounting systems, with on-line database management software, and has used several systems development methodologies. He is experienced with computers and software ranging from large mainframes to minicomputers and microcomputers, including LANs and WANs. He served as an in-house general management consultant with local government. His teaching experience includes staff training, university and community college instruction, and course research and design. He and his company have prepared business plans for advanced technology companies, advised on equipment selection, and carried out numerous security, research, systems analysis, and project management assignments.

His current focus includes information systems security and educational program planning: Since the early 1980s, a lifelong interest in information security has been transformed into a research commitment to investigate integrity and other issues of security in information systems. Mr. Fites holds a SECRET security clearance.
