Roy Rothwell (1941-2003) was an outstanding pioneer in the field of innovation studies, and fondly remembered as a central figure in SPRU at Sussex University for many years, establishing and leading the research group on Management of Technology, and setting up the MSc on Technology and Innovation Management.
