Webb C. Miller, Ph.D. from The University of Washington, now Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University.

Webb Miller has held a position as permanent staff member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center and served on the faculty at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and The University of Arizona, as well as having held two earlier appointments at Penn State. Professor Miller has worked in the area of numerical software, and has authored several books on the subject. He has served as editor-in-chief of Collected Algorithms from ACM, and is on the editorial boards of Genome Research, Journal of Computational Biology, and Bioinformatics.
